I have included helpful links for writers and for those looking to improve their careers.  There are many resources in both categories. I have chosen a few that I've found useful.

FOR WRITERS

Poets & Writers: the nation’s largest nonprofit organization providing information, support, and guidance to writers. www.pw.org. They also publish a wonderful magazine by the same name. It’s full of articles, contests, information on writers’ retreats, etc.

Janet Goldstein Enterprises: Publishing & Strategy Consulting. www.publishersmarketplace.com/members/jgeditor. Janet is an old friend of mine and has worked in publishing for years. A few years ago she established her own business and helps writers improve their work, create a publishing strategy and so on.

Check your local college for readings, writers' conferences and writing classes.
